Labor Day Mini-Tri Plans Are Underway!
It’s already time to start planning for the Las Campanas Compadres Labor Day Mini Triathlon!
Co-founder, Lawrence Becerra was recently on the Rey Post, “All Things Real Estate” New Year radio program to talk about Las Campanas Compadres beginnings, goals, and especially, the September 1, 2014 annual fundraising event.
You can hear the podcast of the interview by clicking on the link below:
In the interview, Lawrence describes LCC’s part in the private sector filling in the gaps that exist because insurance coverage has slimmed and federal funding has been curbed to provide necessary life-fulfilling and therapeutic activities for people with disabilities.
There are several ways you can take part to keep the LCC therapeutic riding and swimming programs remain healthy and strong.
It is already time for the community to save the date and start thinking about their involvement in LCC’s annual fundraising event. You can:
- Become a sponsor or contact a local or national business to sponsor the 2014 LCC Mini-Triathlon
- Participate in the Mini-Tri (enter to race in all three events, or form a team for bicycling, swimming, and running)
- Become a team-mate on a special needs team
- Fund raise by sponsoring a special needs student
- Volunteer on race day to help organizers keep everyone safe
Until the Mini-tri registration site is online, you can already learn more about how you can be involved in LCC’s Labor Day fundraising event.
For more Mini-Tri information or to volunteer: email Las Campanas Compadres at lascamp@msn.com
Or use the “Contact Us” tab on the LCC website: http://lascampanascompadres.org/ to communicate how you want to help or to request information.
Make 2014 your year of involvement.
