School has begun, the sunflowers are blooming on the roadside, and the Las Compadres Compadres Mini-Triathlon is next weekend, on Labor Day,  Monday, September 2nd!

By participating in the “5th annual LCC Mini-Tri” you will make it possible for the therapeutic riding and swimming programs designed for people with special needs to remain strong and no-fee for the Santa Fe community.

If you haven’t sign up as an individual or as a team, IT’S TIME!  and IT’S EASY!

It promises to be a fun-filled morning with the swimming, bicycling and running events starting at 8:00 a.m. After awards, the Mini-Tri winds up around noon.

Take a Role in This Year’s LCC Fundraiser

There are at least SIX ways you can play a role to make our Fifth annual fundraiser a success in an effort to keep the swimming and riding programs available and free of charge for the disabled people we serve in our community:

1.  Attend the Pasta Dinner – Sept. 1 (6:00 p.m.) Reservations:  Club Concierge 995-3500 (Adults $35.00, plus tax, plus drinks Children $17.50)  LCC Students are Free.

2. Attend the Mini-Triathlon -Sept. 2  (8:00 to noon) Las Campanas Spa/Pool/Tennis Club. Cheer on swimmers, bicyclists, runners!

3. Ask friends and family to bid on Auction items listed on the LCC website:  http://www.lascampanascompadres.org

4. Volunteer to help at the Mini Triathlon- contact Andie Talmadge: andietalmadge@gmail.com

We Need Your Help to Make this Annual Event a Success

The Las Campanas Compadres website (www.lascampanascompadres.org) has all the information you need to:

• Register to participate as a runner, bicyclist, swimmer (form a team or do all three events yourself! Note: Registration Deadline is August 30th
• Volunteer to help the organizers of the event with traffic control, manning a booth, directing participants to their starting points. Call 505-820-2707 to volunteer.
